Shortcut Tips for Windows

SeventhDigit Releases New AllKeys Macro Version 2.2
SeventhDigit Corporation (Raleigh, NC), this month, released a new update to AllKeys Macro, a highly flexible and robust Windows macro program. AllKeys Macro automates repetitive tasks by recording keyboard and mouse actions into macros which can be played back with a shortcut key or a click of the mouse. AllKeys is unique among macro programs in that it connects to the keyboard at a very low level thereby allowing the user to override virtually any keyboard sequence.
The new AllKeys Macro Version 2.2 improves its support of Microsoft Vista and enhances its ease of use features, especially for scripting macros. For example, the “copy to clipboard” instruction allows the user to place large sections of text, such as a favorite letter introduction, a piece of code, or even Chinese characters into a clipboard which then can be pasted easily into future documents. The “repeat macro” instruction lets the user call a macro and play it back as many times as desired. This is very useful for people doing the same office task or for gamers trying to repeat the same action over and over again.
“With this AllKeys update, we added a couple of new features that users wanted,” said SeventhDigit President, Seth Hollar. “We also smoothed out a few rough edges on AllKeys Version 2. There were significant improvements from Version 1 and with this update, we're really proud of the new AllKeys Macro.”
AllKeys combines a macro engine with a few ergonomic tools to make the user's computer experience more efficient and easier. AllKeys is designed for the moderate-to-heavy computer user who wants the ease of recording and playing macros but the flexibility to also edit and script macros from scratch. Macros are organized in a familiar folder format that the user can reorganize and view. In AllKeys, the user can create multiple user profiles and macro environments, all with independent sets of macros. Macros can also be exported and imported for easy sharing.
AllKeys Macro also includes a Program Launcher so that the user can easily launch programs on the Desktop, the Start Menu, or in Program Files. The user can also swap key functions from one key to another using AllKeys. Ergonomic features include a work/break timer and a keyboard-based mousing tool.
